ICANN Policy on Domain Ownership
Starting August 21, 2025, a change in ICANN policy may affect how your domain ownership is recorded. In your Domain Contacts, any organization listed in the Registrant Company Name field will be considered the ‘Registered Name Holder’ and the legal owner of the domain.
If your company name isn’t accurate or you prefer to list an individual instead, open the Registrant contact details and update or remove the company name.
You can also change the state of the domain privacy if you want your company name to be public or hidden.
